| Miniature Floral Arrangement Measuring a mere 2.75" high, this floral arrangement was created for the 2007 Sanibel Shell Show, where it won not only a first-place ribbon, but also the Meta Neujahr Perpetual Memorial Award - Miniature Flower Arrangement - Professional trophy and take-home plaque! The photo of the trophy and ribbon shows the floral arrangement in the foreground, under a protective glass dome, dwarfed against them both! I used a Florida Lace Murex shell (Chicoreus florifer dilectus) as the vase, displayed on a pedestal created with Squilla & Barnacle claws. The flower petals were created with Phasianella opercula, atop flower stems of Angel Skin Coral. A lovely little floral arrangement that will continue to bloom all year long! |
